The Coles Wedding at the Capital City Club

The bride and groom pose for a portrait in front of the SC State House

I've been wanting to start blogging my weddings instead of just posting a handful of my favorite images on Facebook. This will be my first attempt! I had so much fun working with Danielle and Keith over the last year. They're such a perfect couple, and you can truly feel the love when you're hanging out with these two.

Death Valley stadium engagement portrait

We did their engagement portraits in Clemson, where they both graduated. We even took a portrait in the exact spot that they first met! We also did some portraits by the stadium. We noticed one of the gates was open and walked in. We quickly made it to the field and snapped literally two shots before the security guard found us and made us leave! They also brought their dog and Danielle's mom, Pat, who has a magnetic personality that lights up any room.

Bridal portrait in Irmo, SC

We did Danielle’s bridals at her family’s neighbor’s house. Come to find out, thee neighbors went to high school with my dad, and knew him very well! Such a small world! Not only was their Irmo property absolutely beautiful and packed with character, they went above and beyond to help us every way they could to get amazing images!

Central Baptist Church in Irmo, SC

The wedding was at the Central Baptist Church in Irmo. I loved the images we took right before the ceremony of them exchanging letters. There was so emotion. It was a beautiful sanctuary, and the ceremony was moving. There were a few tears of happiness throughout that I was able to capture - I try to look for those quick moments. And I always love the unity candle because the flames and smoke look great in the images.

The groom dances like a pro

We had an awesome limo ride from the church to the reception, which was at the Capital City Club downtown. I had surprisingly never shot a wedding there before! I did actually “work” a wedding there once. I was about 12 years old and tagging along with my dad who was shooting a wedding there. That was my last memory of that place, and I'd been dying for the opportunity to shoot there. It was worth the wait. The views are stunning and the atmosphere is perfect. It was a great sit-down dinner with awesome service. The DJ played great music, and I found out Keith, who is the most laid-back, chill guy you have met, is an amazing dancer. He was poppin’ and lockin’ like a pro! On their way out of the building we did one quick scene in front of the state house and it turned out amazing. I ended up putting that shot on the front page of my website.

I had so much fun getting to know this young, energetic couple. Spending time with couples who are so in love fills my heart with happiness and appreciation for the world. Thanks to Danielle and Keith for allowing Oneal and I to be a part of it. Enjoy these images and the story of your day for the rest of your lives, and for generations to come!
